GameBreaker Lacrosse is pleased to announce Ross Johnson as Director for this camp!  Ross Johnson is one of the top lacrosse talents to ever be produced by California.  In 2004 Ross became the third native Californian to play professional lacrosse when he was signed to the San Jose Stealth of the National Lacrosse League.  Despite being a natural right handed player, Ross went on to play three seasons as a lefty for the San Jose Stealth (2004 to 2006) and also played one season of outdoor professional lacrosse for the Boston Cannons (2004).  Coach Johnson grew up in Mill Valley and got his start playing lacrosse for the Southern Marin Wolfpack in 1992.  He went on to be a four year varsity letterman at University High School and led his team to the California State Championship in 1996 as a sophomore.  In 1998 Ross represented California in the North South All American Game and scored a goal on his only shot in the game.

Ross was one of the first Californians to head east to play Division I lacrosse.  in 1999 Ross played on Dartmouth's Extra Man Offense as a lefty shooter as a freshman and earned Dartmouth Lacrosse Freshman of the Year honors.  Ross went on to play three full seasons at Dartmouth and doubled up on varsity sports as a junior playing in the 9th spot on the Dartmouth Varsity Squash team in 2001 that ended the season ranked 9th in the country.

Ross continued to grow as a player after graduating from Dartmouth playing professionally and at the club level.  Since 2003 he has been playing attack for the Olympic Club men's team.  In 2003 and 2006 Ross led the Olympic Club to California State Championships.  In 2006 Coach Johnson was named Offensive MVP of the team.

In addition to playing lacrosse, Ross has copious coaching experience and over 100 games of officiating experience.  He has worked many camps in the east and west and has coached three full seasons at University High School and San Marin High School.  Most recently he coached two days a week for the Cal Bears in the 2009 season and helped lead the team to its best record in a decade, 14-3.
