This GameBreaker Lacrosse Camp is excited to have Dartmouth College Head Assistant Coach Ryan Danehy directing this session. A four-year lacrosse letter winner at Dartmouth as an attackman from 2003-2006, Ryan joined the Big Green men’s lacrosse staff as an assistant coach prior to the 2008 season.
As well as being a standout lacrosse player for the Big Green, Danehy lettered three times as a member of the football team. In 2006, Coach Danehy was taken in the fifth round of the MLL Collegiate Draft by the Boston Cannons. He played professionally for both the Cannons and the Chicago Machine.
In four years with Dartmouth, Danehy started 39 games, compiling 73 goals and 11 assists. As a freshman, he earned Ivy League Rookie of the Week honors as the Big Green upset then-No.2 ranked Princeton, 13-6. Ryan scored two fourth-quarter goals and added an assist. Coach Danehy also had a standout performance (3 goals, 1 assist) in Dartmouth’s first ever NCAA tournament appearance against Syracuse in 2003.
Prior to Dartmouth, Ryan was an All-America lacrosse player at Billerica High School. He was a four-year starter on attack and a member of the 2001 Massachusetts lacrosse state championship squad. Coach Danehy was also a four-year starter on the football team and a member of the 1999 Massachusetts Division I State Championship team.
We are excited to have a coach and player of Ryan’s calibre directing this GameBreaker Camp. His extensive background in the sport and his passion for coaching will provide any lacrosse player with a fantastic camp experience.
