Kristen Kjellman will direct this Massachusetts girls' camp at UMass Dartmouth. Kristen was a four year starter at Westwood High School, where she led the team to a Massachussetts State Championship. Kristen continued her career at Northwestern where she became one of the most decorated players in lacrosse history. She made her debut in 2004, starting all 18 games and leading the team in scoring with 53 goals. For these efforts she was named Inside Lacrosse Rookie of the Year. During her time at Northwestern, she led her team to three straight NCAA championships.
Kristen was a 5-year memeber of the US National Elite Team. In 2009 she helped the team to win the Gold Medal at the Prague World Cup.
Over the course of her career Kristen recieved numerous individual accolades:
2-time Tewarraton Trophy winner (National Player of the Year)
3-time Honda Award winner (National Player of the Year)
4-time All-American selection
3-time finalist for the Women's Sports Foundation Sportswoman of the Year Award
5-year member of the US National Elite Team
2009 World Cup Gold Medalist and All-World Team selection
Kristen looks forward to getting out on the field and helping other Massachussetts lacrosse players improve their game and get better this summer.
