University of Hartford Head Coach Peter Lawrence will direct this GameBreaker Lacrosse Camp.  Peter is in his fourth year at the helm of the Division I program after a stint as Head Coach of Elmira College.  In his last year at Elmira, he posted a record of 8-6 while competing in one of Division III’s toughest conferences.  During his stay at the school, he coached five players who are now playing professionally in the NLL.

Coach Lawrence began his coaching career as an assistant at Whittier College, where he directed the Poets' defense in their first two seasons of NCAA competition. He spent one season as an assistant for the club team at the University of New Hampshire, guiding the Wildcats to a Pioneer League Championship and a berth in the national tournament.

A standout player at Roanoke College, Peter led the Maroons to three straight NCAA Division III Tournament appearances. After earning All-American honors twice, as well as recognition as the 1998 Old Dominion Athletic Conference Player of the Year, he was drafted by the MLL's Bridgeport Barrage in the league's inaugural season (2001).

He graduated from Roanoke College in 1998 with a bachelor's degree in health and physical education. He lives in CT with his wife and two sons.

Peter is very excited to direct this New Jersey summer lacrosse camp!

ASSISTANT DIRECTORS

John Basti - Coach Basti enters his third year as top assistant under head coach Peter Lawrence.

Basti helped contribute to program history in 2010 and again in 2011 when Tim Fallon became the fourth Hawk to earn Division I All-American accolades and the first repeat All-American in Hartford men's lacrosse history.

Under Basti's guidance, Fallon evolved into one of the country's top face-off specialists, taking home honorable mention in 2010 and second team honors in 2011. Fallon entered the 2010 season ranking first in the NCAA Division I statistics in ground balls (9.4 per game) and face-off percentage (62.2 percent) and ended his career as Hartford's all time ground ball leader (404).

Prior to Hartford, Basti served on the coaching staff at Lafayette, Fairfield University, Eastern Connecticut State University and Sacred Heart University.

As a student-athlete at Fairfield, Basti helped the Stags to a MAAC regular season championship and two ECAC Tournament titles. He was also a member of the 1996 and 1997 MAAC Championship teams.

STAFF

Our staff will be comprised of D1 and D3 college players.  Staff members are selected for their character as well as for their lacrosse experience, and make for tremendous role models for the campers.
