Geoff Sorenson will be Director for this GameBreaker Lacrosse Camp. He has coached 25 scholastics seasons in Boys and Girls Lacrosse, Football, Wrestling and Soccer. He just finished his seventh year with the boy’s lacrosse program at Homer High School in Homer, NY. From 2001-2008, Geoff led the Homer Summer Recreation Lacrosse League, helping develop some of the nation's best talent, some of whom will be on staff at camp. An experienced camp director, Geoff has directed camps ranging from lacrosse, wrestling, football and outdoor adventure team camps.
Mike Abbott will be one of the counselors at the Ithaca College GameBreaker Lacrosse Camp. Abbott, a 2 time 1st team All-American at SUNY Cortland, led the Dragons to their 2006 National Championship win. Abbott was also a member of the 2003 University of Virginia National Championship team before transferring to Cortland. Currently, Abbott is an assistant coach at SUNY Cortland, and recently won his first National Championship as a coach last May.
Brian McDermott, a current face-off/midfielder at the University of Virginia will be the 2nd counselor. The 2006 Homer graduate was a 2 sport star in high school, earning all-state accolades in football and was a 2 time Central Region Empire Games selection in lacrosse. Brian will work closely with the midfielders and the defense at this GameBreaker Camp.
The final counselor at the GameBreaker Lacrosse Camp will be Joel White. Joel is a Cortland, NY native who is about to enter his junior year at Syracuse University. Joel is already a 2 time National Champion and has played a vital role in both championship seasons as a long-stick midfielder at Syracuse. A 2009 All-American, Joel has a tremendous mind for the game both on the offensive and defensive sides of the
field.
