Will Oakley was hired as the new women's lacrosse coach for the University of Dallas in the fall of 2008. Dallas is the only NCAA Women's team in the state of Texas and plays at the Division III level. Oakley was previously the head coach for two WDIA teams. He spent two seasons at the University of California Irvine, and two seasons before that at Georgia Tech, where he earned 2005 Southeastern Women's Lacrosse League Coach of the Year honors.
Oakley graduated with a degree in Computer Science from Georgia Tech in Atlanta, GA. A two-time team captain for the men's lacrosse team, he also earned MCLA All-America honors his junior and senior years and was named Southeastern Lacrosse Conference Player of the year in 2004. Will attended high school at St. Andrew's School in Middletown, Delaware and was named to the all-Delaware Independent School Conference team twice for lacrosse.
Will has coached at many camps and leagues over the past decade, including the Naval Academy Camps, at Georgia Tech, UC Irvine, Cape Fear Lacrosse Camps, Newport Beach Backyard Lax, Doublestixx Elite High School League in Atlanta and a number of others.
